After a relatively strong 2016-2017 season, Poly Prep’s Boys Varsity Soccer team will look to build on last year’s 8-6-3 record. Despite losing many key members of the team in the class of 2017, senior forward Will Higgins is excited about the team’s prospects and hopes to replicate their success in the Ivy League. He said that “if we can stay healthy this year and we continue to work extremely hard, we will expect to challenge for league and state titles.”

Led by senior captains Higgins, Sam Lefkowitz, and Sebastian Jalowayski, the team, while filled with underclassmen, is hoping to once again make a strong run in the NYSAIS playoffs. Under the instruction of longtime coach Gerald Stone, the team and its players are sure to be disciplined, hardworking, and successful on the field.

With such dedication, strong leadership and effective coaching, Poly Prep’s Boys Varsity Soccer Team looks poised to overcome this season’s challenges and to establish themselves as the top team in New York City’s Ivy League.
